About

Dr. Laszlo Entz is a neurosurgeon and interventional pain specialist.

He completed his medical studies at Semmelweis University, as well as at the Universities of Bonn and Buffalo. In 2006, he began his research career at the National Institute of Mental Health, Neurology and Neurosurgery (formerly known under a different name), as a student of Professors Peter Halasz and Istvan Ulbert.

In 2009, he received a one-year research fellowship in New York (Fulbright Fellowship, Northwell Health, NY). From 2010, under the mentorship of Dr. Lorand Eröss, he gained extensive experience in treating conditions at the intersection of neurology and neurosurgery, including Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, various chronic pain syndromes, and disorders associated with spasticity. He also contributed to the introduction of several innovative surgical techniques in Hungary.

In 2015, he obtained his PhD in Clinical Neurosciences, followed by board certification in neurosurgery with summa cum laude distinction. In 2016, he earned the Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) qualification from the World Institute of Pain.

From 2017, he trained in Switzerland at the Schulthess Clinic in Zurich as part of an international spine surgery training program under Professor Dezso Jeszenszky, later serving as Deputy Chief Physician.

From late 2019, he worked at the Endomin Center of the Hirslanden Clinic in Zurich as a colleague and trainee of Professor Robert Reisch. This leading center focuses on minimally invasive and endoscopic neurosurgical techniques, particularly transnasal endoscopic skull base surgery.

Since 2021, he has been a senior neurosurgeon at Hirslanden Clinic, Head of the Spine Surgery Profile at the Endomin Center, a member of the skull base surgery team, and an interventional pain specialist.

In 2022, together with Professor Robert Reisch, he co-founded the Endomin Center in Budapest at the MiND Clinic, in close collaboration with the Zurich-based Endomin Center.

He is a member of several international societies and serves as Treasurer of the Hungarian section of the World Institute of Pain. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and is involved in postgraduate education at the Department of Neurosurgery at Semmelweis University.
