data-end=\"1832\"><strong>How Is it Diagnosed?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1937\">After clinical evaluation, vertebral compression fractures are diagnosed using imaging studies such as:<\/p>\r\n<ul data-start=\"1938\" data-end=\"1989\">\r\n<li data-section-id=\"1fp2q7r\" data-start=\"1938\" data-end=\"1947\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1940\" data-end=\"1947\">X-ray<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-section-id=\"1cqvfi8\" data-start=\"1948\" data-end=\"1959\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1950\" data-end=\"1959\">CT scan<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-section-id=\"16vn05a\" data-start=\"1960\" data-end=\"1967\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1962\" data-end=\"1967\">MRI<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-section-id=\"1k3hz8x\" data-start=\"1968\" data-end=\"1989\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1970\" data-end=\"1989\">Bone scintigraphy<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p data-start=\"1991\" data-end=\"2119\">These tests also help determine whether the fracture is recent or old, which is crucial for selecting the appropriate treatment.<\/p>\r\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1cdue4a\" data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2147\"><strong>How Is it Treated?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h3 data-section-id=\"15smu65\" data-start=\"2149\" data-end=\"2175\"><strong>Conservative Treatment<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p data-start=\"2177\" data-end=\"2193\">If the data-section-id=\"158m5ul\" data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2352\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2312\" data-end=\"2352\">And pain is manageable with medication<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p data-start=\"2354\" data-end=\"2408\">Then conservative treatment is recommended, including:<\/p>\r\n<ul data-start=\"2409\" data-end=\"2464\">\r\n<li data-section-id=\"vz1ri7\" data-start=\"2409\" data-end=\"2426\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2411\" data-end=\"2426\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fajdalomklinika.hu\/en\/treatments\/physiotherapy\/\">Physiotherapy<\/a><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-section-id=\"1lvzo2r\" data-start=\"2427\" data-end=\"2443\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2429\" data-end=\"2443\">Hydrotherapy<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-section-id=\"1dn7wmf\" data-start=\"2444\" data-end=\"2464\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2446\" data-end=\"2464\">External bracing<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p data-start=\"2466\" data-end=\"2611\">In elderly patients, prolonged bed rest is not recommended due to the risk of complications such as pneumonia, thrombosis, or pulmonary embolism.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-section-id=\"9nxffu\" data-start=\"2618\" data-end=\"2636\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fajdalomklinika.hu\/en\/treatments\/vertebroplasty\/\"><strong>Vertebroplasty<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\r\n<p data-start=\"2638\" data-end=\"2790\">Vertebroplasty is a minimally invasive procedure in which medical cement is injected into the vertebral body through a needle to stabilize the fracture.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-section-id=\"vjdf8u\" data-start=\"2797\" data-end=\"2819\"><strong>Open Spine Surgery<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p data-start=\"2821\" data-end=\"2949\">In a small number of cases, open surgery may be required\u2014particularly if bone fragments compress the spinal cord or nerve roots.<\/p>\r\n<h2 data-section-id=\"155j97p\" data-start=\"2956\" data-end=\"2992\"><strong>When is <a href=\"https:\/\/fajdalomklinika.hu\/en\/treatments\/vertebroplasty\/\">Vertebroplasty<\/a> Indicated?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p data-start=\"2994\" data-end=\"3066\">Early treatment is important to
